I stopped by for a morning coffee on my way to Algonquin and was delighted with the amazing atmosphere and vibe of the place. The lady working there was exceptionally nice and helpful, making my experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for a pleasant coffee break!
What a great place. Visiting Canada coming from the Netherlands, this was one of the culinary highlights. Lovely crepes and also had a great coffee! The couple running the shop are extremely kind and it was a great pleasure to sit and relax next to the lake. With him having 15 years of experience as a baker from France, you taste the real deal!! When you are doubting: go!
Such a cute little place with outside seating and umbrellas. Clearly this place is a big hit as the line got long around 9:00 AM. We had the Northern and a special feature. Love the almond croissants! Had to try the chocolate croissant as well. Cafe Mocha was delicious! Super friendly staff.
Cute little food truck with a large permanent deck patio overlooking the water. Croissants were amazing and they had a large variety of crepes. Everything was lovely including the service. Highly recommend.
We wait all year to enjoy this delightful place! Each one behind the counter makes you feel top of the world, such a phenomenal human and food experience.
Delicious sweet or savoury crepes! Nice view of the lake while eating. Staff are great!
Frenchy's Bakery Creperie is a charming, food truck-style gem by the lake that delivers a fantastic breakfast and lunch experience. The savory menu items, especially the fresh croissants, are simply unbeatable. Opening at 7:30 a.m., it's the perfect spot to grab a delicious bite to eat and a good cup of coffee while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Although they don't offer espresso, there are plenty of brewed coffee options to satisfy your caffeine needs, and the kid-friendly menu makes it a great choice for families. What really sets Frenchy's apart is the owner's dedication. They take the time to explain everything and ensure that every customer leaves happy and satisfied. If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Frenchy's Bakery Creperie is a must-visit.
Frenchie’s was absolutely amazing. We have been to Deerhurst many, many times, but this was actually the very first time we went to the creperie. Our love affair with this extraordinary place started on Saturday afternoon when we decided to go there for a sweet treat for teatime. Mom got Monkey Around, and I decided on Monster Moose. Because we chose to remove the bananas from both crepes, the owner problem solved and thought of a way to make it equitable since we were removing an ingredient. She didn’t feel it was right to charge us the same amount if the bananas were being removed. This really caught my attention, because restaurants normally do this. For mine, she offered to add vanilla ice cream with extra chocolate sauce to make up for it. She topped off our crepes with whipped cream as well. That was just the customer service. The crepes themselves were absolutely delectable. The proportions of all ingredients were absolutely perfect, and the crepes were phenomenal. We learned that they were made from scratch by the co-owner who learned his craft in France. This started a lovely conversation about France and the boulangeries there. The next morning, we woke up early to grab breakfast at the creperie. The owner had told us about freshly baked croissants with almond cream inside, and we were absolutely sold. We ended up buying a box of six chocolate almond croissants to take back home with us and had two savory egg crepes for breakfast. My only regret, and this was completely on me, was asking for Sunnyside up instead of over easy eggs. For my own personal tastes, the over easy would have gone over well for my own palate. However, the combination of balsamic vinegar, arugula, feta, and pesto was absolutely brilliant. On our way out of Deerhurst, as a storm was rolling in, we ran by the creperie to pick up one last croissant for a neighbor back in Toronto. Although they were desperately cleaning up and closing up, the owner graciously took my order just as a huge crack of lightning descended upon the resort. All in all, I cannot recommend this establishment more. It is an absolute must for anyone visiting Deerhurst or even passing by the resort. The food is amazing and the customer service is absolutely out of this world. The graciousness, joy, and interest in serving their customers is palpable. I am so happy to have found this absolute gem. The next time you go there, or if you go there for the very first time, please have an extra croissant for me! Thank you Frenchie’s! See you in the summer.
